About our english games

Strong reading and writing starts with confident word skills. Our free English games help children practise spelling, recognise sight words, hear rhymes, grow their vocabulary and understand grammar, all through quick, playful rounds.

The games suit early readers right through to upper primary students. Levels range from three-letter words and Pre-K sight words up to challenge spelling words and adverbs.

Tips for parents

  • Read the words aloud together. Hearing and saying words strengthens memory.
  • Use new vocabulary from the games in everyday conversation.
  • For spelling, encourage โ€œlook, say, cover, write, checkโ€ away from the screen too.
  • Praise effort and strategies (โ€œyou sounded it out!โ€), not just correct answers.
