Reading & English in 2nd Grade
2nd Grade is a big year for mental math and spelling. Children work with numbers to 1,000, learn their first times tables, and read the clock to the quarter hour or five minutes.
- Read the words aloud together. Hearing and saying words strengthens memory.
- Use new vocabulary from the games in everyday conversation.
