How to play Fraction Pizza Shop
- Choose a day to start on. Day 1 is halves and quarters, then come thirds and sixths, eighths with two toppings, adding fractions and finally equivalent fractions.
- Read the order, such as "¾ of a pizza with mushrooms". Choose how many equal slices to cut the pizza into: 2, 3, 4, 6, 8 or 12.
- Pick a topping, then tap or drag over slices to add it. Slices with no topping are just cheese. On a keyboard, use the arrow keys to choose a slice and Space to add or remove the topping.
- Press Serve. A correct pizza earns coins and a tip for speed. If it is not right, the customer explains what they wanted so you can fix it. After 8 customers, spend your coins on shop upgrades and open the next day.

About Fraction Pizza Shop
Pizza is how most children first meet fractions, and Fraction Pizza Shop turns that into a real decision every time. To make ¾ with mushrooms, a child can cut the pizza into quarters and top 3 slices, or cut it into eighths and top 6, and both are right. Choosing the cut makes children think about what the bottom number of a fraction means, and discovering that 3 slices out of 4 is the same amount as 6 out of 8 is the heart of equivalent fractions.
Day 1, with halves and quarters, suits Classes 1–2. Thirds, sixths and eighths suit 3rd Class, and Days 4 and 5, with adding fractions and equivalent fractions, stretch children in Classes 4–6. Mistakes are gentle: the customer explains what they wanted ("I wanted 3 out of 4 slices") and lets you fix it. Choose Calm speed to remove the patience timer completely.

Frequently asked questions
Why does the game let me choose how to cut the pizza?
Because many fractions can be made more than one way. ½ can be 1 of 2 slices, 2 of 4, 3 of 6, 4 of 8 or 6 of 12. Some orders ask for a particular cut, such as "cut into eighths", to practise equivalent fractions on purpose.
What happens if a customer runs out of patience?
They leave, and the answer is added to your list of fractions to practise. Choose Calm speed on the start screen for no timer at all.
What do the coins do?
Coins buy shop upgrades between days, such as a new sign, a blue tile or golden oven, fairy lights and a shop cat. Your coins and upgrades are saved on this device.
Is the game good for the classroom?
Yes. Each day takes about 5 to 10 minutes, and the start screen lets you jump straight to the fractions your class is learning.
