How to play Math Race
- Choose your math (from adding within 20 up to fractions, decimals and percentages), a track (city, desert or space), your car color and a race: three laps or a one-lap sprint.
- The lights go 3, 2, 1, GO! Answer the first question before GO for a rocket start. Your car drives itself: tap an answer or press 1, 2, 3 or 4.
- Every right answer is a speed boost. Get three right in a row to fill the turbo meter and fire your turbo! A wrong answer slows you for a moment, and the race stops while the game shows you how to work it out.
- Overtake the other cars and cross the finish line after the last lap. The top three go on the podium. Press P or the pause button to stop at any time.

About Math Race
Math Race turns fact practice into a real race. The car drives itself, so all of a child’s attention goes on the math: every right answer is an instant burst of speed, and three right answers in a row fill the turbo meter for a huge flaming boost. Wrong answers are never a disaster. The car slows for a moment, then the race pauses while a short worked method, such as “5 × 7 = 35, then 2 more groups of 7 is 14, so 7 × 7 = 49”, shows how to get it next time. The three computer racers adapt to how your child is answering, so every race stays close and exciting, but a run of right answers always pulls ahead.
Adding and taking away within 20 suits 1st Grade, and within 100 suits 2nd Grade. Times tables and division facts suit Grades 3–4, mixed questions with bigger numbers suit 5th Grade, and fractions, decimals and percentages suit 6th Grade. There are three tracks, a city with skyscrapers and street lights, a sunset desert with cactuses and dunes, and a glowing space track past planets and crystals, and six car colors. Finish in the top three to stand on the podium, then look back at the methods to remember.

Frequently asked questions
How do you go faster in Math Race?
Answer questions! Every right answer gives your car a speed boost, and answering quickly gives you more boosts. Three right answers in a row fill the turbo meter and fire a turbo, the fastest speed in the game. Answering the first question before the lights go green gives you a rocket start.
What happens if my child gets an answer wrong?
The car slows down for a moment and the streak starts again. Then the race pauses and shows the right answer with a short worked method, so your child can read it calmly before racing on.
Do the computer cars cheat?
They adapt. The other racers speed up or slow down a little depending on how your child is answering, so races stay close whatever the level. A child who answers well, and builds streaks for turbo, will still pull away and win.
Can my child play on a phone or tablet?
Yes. The track and the four answer buttons fit on a phone screen without scrolling. Tap an answer to boost. On a computer, press 1, 2, 3 or 4, and P to pause.
Is there a time limit on each question?
No. There is no countdown on the questions: the car cruises while your child thinks. Quicker right answers just mean more speed boosts, so the race gently rewards fluency without rushing anyone.
