A prefix goes at the start and changes the meaning. The root word does not change: dis + appear = disappear.
Week 2: adding -ly

Usually just add -ly (sad, sadly). If the word ends in a consonant then y, change the y to i: happy, happily.
Week 3: words ending in -tion

The ending -tion sounds like โshunโ. It is the most common way to spell that sound at the end of a word.
Week 4: homophones

Homophones sound the same but have different spellings and meanings. Learn them in pairs with a sentence for each.
Tip
Look at the word and say it aloud, cover it, write it from memory, then uncover it and check. Practise a few words each day rather than all ten at once, and use each word in a sentence.
