About Jigsaw Puzzles for Kids
Jigsaw puzzles build the visual and spatial skills that children later use in maths, reading maps and science diagrams. To place a piece, a child must look at its colours and shape, picture where it belongs in the whole image, and turn that idea into a careful movement. Finishing a puzzle also builds patience and a real sense of achievement.
Easy puzzles, with 9 pieces, suit Grade RR to Grade 1. Medium, with 16 pieces, suits Grades 2โ3, and Hard, with 36 pieces, challenges Grades 4โ6. All 12 pictures were drawn for this game, from a farm and a rainbow over the hills to rockets in space and a castle at night. The pieces have real jigsaw tabs and blanks, and the picture hint can be turned on or off at any time.

Frequently asked questions
Does it work on a tablet or phone?
Yes. Drag the pieces with your finger. On small screens the pieces wait below the board, so you can scroll down to find them.
What is the best way to solve a jigsaw?
Most people start with the four corners, then the straight edges, and then fill in the middle by matching colours. Turning on the picture hint helps younger children see where each piece belongs.
How are points worked out?
You earn points for finishing the picture, with a bonus for being quick. Bigger puzzles are worth more points. Using the picture hint on Medium or Hard gives slightly fewer points.
