What should a Year 1 child practise?

Maths: Addition and subtraction facts to 20, numbers to 100 and beyond, tens and ones, and skip counting. Reading & writing: High-frequency words, rhymes with different spellings, spelling common words, and spotting nouns, verbs and adjectives. Logic: First 4×4 sudoku puzzles and picture-word memory games.

How often should my child do a worksheet?

Little and often works best: one sheet (or half a sheet) a few times a week, then a quick game on the same skill. Stop while it is still going well.

Do the worksheets match the curriculum?
