How to use it
- Choose 3–6 small, clear goals your child can do most days.
- Let your child colour a star each time they finish a goal.
- Agree on a reward together before you start, such as choosing a game, a family outing or extra story time.
- Praise effort, not just results, and start a fresh chart each week.
Frequently asked questions
Do reward charts work for learning?
They can help build daily habits when goals are small and clear, rewards are agreed in advance, and praise focuses on effort.
How many goals should a reward chart have?
Three to six is plenty. Too many goals makes the chart hard to keep up with.
