Tricks that help
- Count in 64s: start at 64 and add 64 each time (64, 128, 192, 256, 320…).
- Split 64 into 60 and 4: 64 × 7 = 60 × 7 + 4 × 7 = 420 + 28 = 448.
- 64 is double 32, so double the 32 times table: 32 × 7 = 224, and double 224 is 448.
- 64 × 10 = 640: multiplying by 10 adds a zero to the end.
- Every fact has a twin: 64 × 7 = 7 × 64 = 448. If you know one, you know both.
- The last digits of the first ten answers go 4, 8, 2, 6, 0, 4, 8, 2, 6, 0.
