Tricks that help

  • Count in 1s: start at 1 and add 1 each time (1, 2, 3, 4, 5…).
  • 1 × 10 = 10: multiplying by 10 adds a zero to the end.
  • Every fact has a twin: 1 × 7 = 7 × 1 = 7. If you know one, you know both.
  • The last digits of the first ten answers go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0.
