Questions parents ask
Are these PP1 worksheets free?
Yes. Every PP1 worksheet is free to print, with no sign-up. Most come with an answer key, and you can make a new set of questions in one click.
What should a PP1 child practise?
Early reading: Hearing rhymes, recognising first sight words like “the”, “and” and “is”, and matching words to pictures. Thinking skills: Memory, concentration and taking turns, all practised in memory matching games. Number sense: Counting objects, recognising small numbers and noticing patterns in everyday play.
How often should my child do a worksheet?
Little and often works best: one sheet (or half a sheet) a few times a week, then a quick game on the same skill. Stop while it is still going well.
Do the worksheets match the curriculum?
They are grouped by the skills usually taught in PP1. Children can work up or down a year as needed, and our curriculum pages show how the games line up with what is taught at school.
