Maths in KG1

Young children learn through play, repetition and lots of encouragement. These gentle games use big buttons, pictures and sound so children aged 3 to 5 can play with a grown-up nearby and build early learning skills without pressure.

  • Short and often beats long and rare: 10 minutes a day builds fact fluency faster than an hour once a week.
  • Start one level below where your child is comfortable. Early wins build confidence.
  • Ask your child to explain how they got an answer. Talking through a strategy deepens understanding.
  • Celebrate streaks and personal bests rather than perfect scores.

Frequently asked questions

What maths should my child know in KG1?

Focus on short sessions of five to ten minutes, celebrate every match and rhyme, and talk about what your child sees on the screen. Those conversations matter as much as the game itself.

Are these KG1 maths games free?

Yes. Every game is free to play in the browser, with no download and no sign-up needed.

Which level should a KG1 child start on?

Each game on this page shows a suggested starting level for KG1. Move up a level after getting three stars two or three times in a row.
