Tricks that help
- Count in 21s: start at 21 and add 21 each time (21, 42, 63, 84, 105…).
- Split 21 into 20 and 1: 21 × 7 = 20 × 7 + 1 × 7 = 140 + 7 = 147.
- 21 × 10 = 210: multiplying by 10 adds a zero to the end.
- Every fact has a twin: 21 × 7 = 7 × 21 = 147. If you know one, you know both.
- The last digits of the first ten answers go 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 0.
